Using hypothetical and real life video scenarios and animations, this module tackles the tough topic of alcohol in an age-appropriate way. It explores the impact of alcohol on individuals and the community.
Overview
Think Twice tackles the topic of drinking alcohol and students explore concepts such as the effect that alcohol has on body systems, myths and facts about alcohol, laws relating to its sale and reasons why people choose not to consume alcohol. Exploring a range of issues around the social, legal and physical consequences of alcohol consumption.

Think Twice – Tuning In Lesson
This lesson introduces students to the ‘Think Twice’ module where they will learn about alcohol in a balanced and age appropriate way. Key areas covered include the varying effects of alcohol on the body and brain and the choices that people can make about drinking alcohol. Many of the activities are pair or group based so that students are actively engaged in developing their social & emotional skills of relationships through effective communication, teamwork, and developing strategies to resist negative social pressure.

Think Twice – Extending Lesson 1
This lesson extends the ‘Think Twice’ module. Using a narrative-based lesson and a range of collaborative class and paired activities, students are guided to consolidate their understanding of the impact of alcohol. Through these activities, students are also supported to develop their social & emotional skills of relationships and responsible decision making.

Think Twice – Extending Lesson 2
This lesson finalises the ‘Think Twice’ module. Through a three tiered structure, students learn about the physical, social, and legal consequences of regular or irresponsible consumption of alcohol. Through the activities in this lesson, students are also supported to develop their social & emotional skills of relationships and responsible decision making.
