While Life Ed and Bakers Delight are supportive of efforts in secondary school and community garden initiatives, the campaign’s eligibility and educational activities have a focus on primary schools, preschools and early learnings centres to reach more students in these early years.
From taking a journey through the life cycle of bread, through to growing their own wheat and making their own fresh dough, Life Ed and Bakers Delight’s Healthy Solutions range have created a range of hands-on activities and easy lesson plans that can be tailored according to class needs.
- Creative and well thought out garden designs
- Plans that encourage children to learn where food comes from, promoting healthy habits
- Level of hands-on student involvement in the project
- Feasible and technically-sound project activities
- Realistic and detailed project budget
- Integration into the classroom, teaching children about healthy eating
- Clearly illustrate the need for the grant money
We will announce the winners publicly on 15 August 2024.
